Hertfordshire is delighted to welcome The Knife Angel from October 1st until October 30th 2025. During this time, Hertfordshire Constabulary will be hosting a wide variety of community engagements within your local area and throughout the county, focusing on sharing its message against knife crime and violence. The Knife Angel is a towering, 27-foot-tall, winged figure, crafted from over 100,000 confiscated knives and blades, is not just a striking piece of art – it’s a poignant reminder of the devastating impact of violent crime. Welwyn Garden City will be hosting the Knife Angel, using the opportunity to engage with community groups and schools on knife crime prevention. This highlights the ongoing role the sculpture plays in supporting local efforts to tackle knife crime. Witness this incredible piece of art and reflect on its message against violence. The ceremony will include speeches, music, and a moment of silence to honour those affected by knife crime. Don't miss this important event.
